Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Licensing
For some people, purchasing licenses can be really confusing or frustrating, which is why I'm here to answer the possible questions that many people ask before purchasing a license.
It should be noted that these questions will be answered at the discretion of Prod Kribabe based on the available licenses.
Can I register my song and use Content ID?
Whether or not you have purchased a license, your song cannot be registered with BMI/ASCAP/WIPO/WIPO or any other global copyright organization or content identification system unless you have purchased an EXCLUSIVE LICENSE.
Is the TAG removed when a License is purchased?
YES, once the license is purchased, the downloadable file comes without the TAG.
Will I own the beat once I buy it?
NO, if you purchase a NON-EXCLUSIVE LICENSE (MP3, WAV, UNLIMITED) you only get the license with certain permissions and rights that you can do with limitations (the limitations are specified when you go to purchase the license).
Therefore, the Producer (Kribabe) is the one who has full ownership and copyright of the beat, this means that the producer has every right to keep it on the website until someone buys the EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS ("EXCLUSIVE" License).
What happens if the song exceeds the stream count?
If you exceed your limits, that means your license will no longer be valid. If you want to continue maintaining your version, you must upgrade your license, paying the difference between each license (MP3, WAV, and UNLIMITED). This is only possible if any of these licenses have a streaming limit.
Will the rhythm be removed from the website once a license is obtained?
NO, the Beat will not be removed if you purchase non-exclusive licenses (MP3, WAV, UNLIMITED) since the Producer (Prod Kribabe) retains full ownership and can sell the licenses multiple times.
Can other people use or buy the beat I just bought?
YES, one of the advantages of purchasing lease-type licenses is the low cost, but at the same time, there is a major disadvantage: many other people can acquire one of these licenses.
This means that if the beat is available in the store, there's a good chance that other people already own or have already purchased it. But don't worry, this situation is very common within the industry; even well-known artists acquire these types of licenses, which leads to songs with repetitive instrumentals (such as "C90" - JHON C/"Agradable" - Big Soto).
Finally, it's important to note that anyone who purchased an Instrumental before you can upgrade their license within the terms of service.
